To Kill A Mocking Bird

👉ReviewThis Pulitzer Prize winning novel teaches wonderful lessons about tolerance, racism, prejudice, and courage. A beautiful piece written so amazingly that once you start you want to read till the end.In this book the “Mockingbird” comes to represent the idea of innocence. Thus, to kill a mockingbird symbolizes cruel behavior towards innocent and kindhearted people.


👉 Characters depicted as "Mockingbird" :
  • Boo Radley: He was imprisoned by his father for a minor infraction. He was portrayed as a horrible creature and nasty rumors were made by the townsfolk. But in truth Boo Radley was innocent and nice person who defended the finch children when they are getting attacked by Bob Ewell.
  • Tom Robinson: He helped Mayella Ewell with different chores around her house, but instead he was falsely accused of a heinous crime. He was unfortunately subject to racial predjudice found guilty by the  jury despite all the evidence in his favor. He was later killed while trying to escape custody.
  • Aticus Finch: An  ideal  paradigm  of  a  good  citizen,  a  skillful  and honest  lawyer  and  an  understanding  father.  Although  he was  criticized for defending Tom Robinson but that didn't stop him from giving Tom the strongest defense he possibly can.
