The third installment in the Shiva
Trilogy by Amish Tripathi starts off exactly where from where “The Secret of the Nagas” left off with Shiva meeting his friend
Brahaspati, whom he thought was dead. The book kicks off at an interesting pace
and begins a series of revelations. Then begins the sequence of questions being answered,
mysteries being unearthed, and evil being revealed leaving Neelkanth
prepares for a holy war against the true evil.
The book is packed with a lot of action. There are many a twist
and turns in the plot and the pace is pretty fast moving. The title is misleading, Vayuputras are reduced to an insignificant presence in the entire
series. They hardly take up a few pages of the book. Half of the book
concerns with the strategy that’s made for uprooting the evil while a major
portion will render insights on the art of warfare. Right from the battle scenes to the romance track between Shiva and Sati, the book is a joy to read.
